Embarrsing but hey...

Today I got a clump of blood from my back end thinking I might ask the gp about it. Today's pretty crap regarding pain and other factors. The blood was a clump this time instead of a tiny bit regarding a few days ago. Extremely tired today going for another nap...

You say embarrassing but I've been there. Seems as you failed to send me some advice on my bad low the other day. Maybe you could help today, ive started taking trazodone 50mg alongside my Sertraline in the mornings. It's to help me sleep the trazodone I mean but doesn't help me go off to sleep. Took my little boy to football training this morning but now laid in bed again as my hips are the worst they have been for a while. Seems as we take 1 step forward then 2 backwards most of the time.

Ps glad to see you been on here today. Hope my advise help in some way x

fresh red blood tends to be around the lower end of the bowels /rectum area etc, there's plenty of reasons why your getting fresh blood, and like I've mentioned before, the past is the past, your entitled to medical help 24/7,if you are losing alot of blood go to A&E,alternatively ring NHS 24,on111 I think where you'll get put through to a nurse, who'll discuss what's happening with you,I can assure you that this is a pretty good service,if they feel that there's something amiss,a doctor normally will get back in touch, and either you'll be asked to attend your out of hours surgery,or A&E,so just keep an eye on things carefully and don't let the situation run riot in your head, worrying as it may be though.

I find day by day is not to bad, come the end of the day I think to myself how proud and grateful I am to of made it through. That's one of the best things I Picked up at AA few years back now. X

What's AA if you don't mind me asking?

Its alcoholic anonymous. Basically I had an underlined problem and didn't address it in the correct manor. So ended up drinking to hide the problem. Which at the time I believed was ok. This impacted on my health a bit and covered my diabetes for years. Till one day 27months ago I decided one day no more and quit drinking and smoking all together. I actually used AA before that but didn't need to again x

Hi again.

You are right to be thinking of asking GP about. If I were you I would contact a GP asap. Your pain has returned also? You say you had a tiny bit of blood a few days ago? Also today you are Extremely tired. All these need to be reported to a doctor either GP or Out-of-hours GP. Are there any walk-in health centres / clinics near where you are staying?

There is no need to be embarrassed about your new symptom. There is no need to be embarrassed about what you have been through either.

Just explain to the doctor about how embarrassed you are feeling and he or she should reassure you and put you at ease.

X🐥

Dear Epicjinx,

This may seem obvious but have you been straining, especially hard recently? (In other words, and without trying to be too rude/crude, have the 'Bastards' been harder than normal?) It's just that when I get Particularly badly Constipated, I can Bleed- though NOT normally in 'Clumps'- for a while after.

Please DO go to your GP/Doctor/consultants, on this matter, just to be 'Safe'. Just another thought; have you changed your Medication(s), and/or diet, recently? That can REALLY Bu..er Up, your GI track sometimes.

Please do let us know, will you, Epicjinx?

Hope 'Everything' is OK soon (Well as well, as possible anyway)
