I have extensive osteoarthritis therfore pain in all joints. Both hips are affected by Bursitis which is excruciating when lying down. So far only treatment is injection into the joint. TheBay pain is debilitating so anything that offers relief is more than welcome.

My chiropractor massages the bursitis in my hip and thighs and I also do exercises to stretch the area.

Sadly I can't afford a chiropractor as they charge a lot and its an ongoing treatment but I really pleased they work for you

Just a couple of visits and you could get advise and exercise to do so that you can help your bursitis yourself.

Anot her option is steroid injections into the area. That can help for weeks even months.

The doctors won't operate on my knees till they actually collapse but I have had my left shoulder replaced and that was extremely painful and not settled yet after 8 months.

Hi Elky, I have bursitis in both hips, had a left hip implant 5 years ago, fell twice on ice and have nothing but trouble since then. Have Osteoarthritis in all my joints and muscle pain.

It is terrible to live with, have tried many doctors, thinking I had a bad implant and no doctor will take the bursitis out. I just turned 60 and have been dealing with this for about 8 years.

Take one day at a time, because I am still working and two jobs. Love playing with my Grandchildren, gardening and dancing but it is hard to do anything anymore.

Was raised on a farm and worked 3 jobs when I was younger raising two children.

All that work and being on cement for years did not help my joints. I have tried everything, cannot take a lot of pain meds because I have allergic reactions. Good luck to you. Will keep you in my prayers, it did help a little to loose weight which was 50 lbs ago, but still have a lot more joint pain, cut out so many good foods and went gluten, nut, milk, soy free except for almond butter, eat a lot of rice cakes. Also try to have a nice Easter.

Also I have had so many shots that they don't want to do anymore because it weakens your bones. They helped for awhile but now they don't work anymore. So be careful with that, and stay out of the hot tub because it makes the bursitis a lot worse and I ended up in two ER's, so much inflammation and pain.

We don't have a hot tub just a shower which is much easier. The injection has taken the worst of the pain away this time but you are right about it destroying the bone surface. It's a no win situation
