Em ok I think I will have to look it up ☺

Emerald58 ; How did you get to a Spinal Cord Injury? If you don't mind me asking. Was it from previous Spinal Surgery or any Spinal Epidural Steroid Injections?

Went into hospital dragging my leg, came out 4 months later a paraplegic. It caused lesion down my spine. They told me for over 25 years it was MS but was CIDP crossed with something like transverse myelitis but doesn't quite fit the criteria

I have read about it, seems pretty complicated. In what way does it effect you?

What's your problem jimtom ?

I think sometimes people just don't understand Emerald58, with out meaning to sound in the least offensive. It's up to us to explain as best we can our own "unique" Pain concerns. This being a "General" Chronic Pain Support Group we all have a multitude of Syndromes, Conditions or what ever the Diagnosis or lack of. Emerald58 , I too want to shout out sometimes - "what's your problem? It seemed to me that Jimtom didn't mean any harm. He was showing interest.

I certainly didn't know what CDIP was until Jimtom asked.

If we don't know we can't be supportive. It's a learning experience for most of us. Some have been waiting for a Diagnosis for years and then someone in this group identifies and can pursue a question from let's say yourself, and take it to their Doctor. When Chronic Conditions are often Progressive in Nature, I personally think it's quite all right to ask: in what way does it effect you?

I completely understand your frustration. Intractable Pain that does not stop can turn me into a Bitch from hell !!! I don't like to be that way as it only "harms me".

Sounds to me that you have friggen "pull your hair out" Major Nerve Damage, but you haven't explained it much. It would be good if you could tell us more about it.

"Adhesive Arachnoiditis" from Epidural Steroid Injections in my lumbar and Sacral Spine. The needle(s) went through the Dura and into the Arachnoid Space. And it's bloody Hell. I have days where I just simply don't know about tomorrows. I just try my damnest to stay in the Day - Hour or Minute. 😊

Wow I was just asking jimtom what his pain problem was nothing else. As in what is what is wrong with you. Which could also be wrongly interpreted I guess. Give up this is hard work. Don't think this forum is for me. Thanks anyway

It was the explanation mark. Seemed that you were shouting. No biggie! This is a great place to Rant all you want Emerald58. We just can't assume everyone else knows what we are going threw. Why 25 years of MS diagnosis and then the WHAM!?

Excuse- no explanation mark- my mistake, sorry. I quess it was the word "problem" πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ "Chronic Pain".....that can make life suck!!! But a good laugh can fix that even if it's for 5 minutes. It helps me alot.!
