Hi, this is my first post so just a little about me.

I'm 38, I have a son who is 10 going on teenager!

I have had two disc operations on my neck in 2010 and since I have had terrible pain in my neck, arms, elbows and my fingers. I also have numerous discs that are causing pain and other problems.

Also numbness in my hands and my left leg.

I have trigeminal neuralgia which started about 19 months ago which is excruciating pain and nothing helps the pain.

I am unable to work due to all of the above but when I can I spend time with my son doing what he likes while I am well enough.

I have an amazing friend who would do anything for me as I would for her. She's helped me when I'm down and no matter what she can always make me smile.

I know I am very lucky to ha e someone who is so understanding as I have lost many friends over the past few years. Also my marriage but he obviously wasn't worth it!

My family try to understand but don't really when they are trying to drag you outside when all you want to do is take the opportunity to have a little sleep as sleep is few and far between!

I hope I can maybe help someone through my experience and also maybe find some new info for myself too. Xx

Hi Gummie welcome to the family. Here you will never be judged only helped. There are so many lovely people on here going through the same things as you. I too have lost family and friends and I also left my partner of 25 years. My family aren't around much. My son who's 23 works and lives in London. I have a friend that has done all she could to support me. Emotionally. Physically moved my furniture. She has taken me where ever I've needed to go. All the jobs family should do. I'm now settled in a sheltered accommodation and far happier. I know the pain causes us to feel low but If I could get my benefits sorted I could honestly say its been worth all I've been through this year. Thank God for the people on here. They're my family now. Good luck and post when you want to talk.... rant or a laugh there is someone on here that will be there for you

Take care xx

Thankyou Angie, for replying to me. You sound like you have had a rough time of it too.

It's great to have somewhere where you can laugh, cry and rant and no one judges you.

I was in a couple of groups on facebook but people just seem to argue on them, very strange.

We all just want support and understanding.

I hope you have a lovely pain free day. Xx

Welcome on board Gummi.

Yes happy bunch if that's possible with so much pain. Tons of experience from some very knowledgeable folk. Will listen and comment of you have a question or just listen if you want a rant.

Thankyou Paton, it's nice to know I have people who understand what I'm feeling.

I'm having a tough time at the moment as my doctor has taken me off a few of my tablets so really feeling the pain and having withdrawal is awful.

I'm hoping that will start wearing off soon and I will feel back in the land of the living. Xx
