I broke my ankle 6wks ago and had to have an op with metalwork to repair it. I've never broken anything significant before so was wondering if anyone has experience of this so I can get an idea as to what to expect when the boot hopefully comes off on Tuesday?
Did you get a split/boot or were you just eased back into weight baring and walking? How much longer were you off work? How long did it take for full feeling to return to your toes and how long did it take to be walking normally?
I know all breaks are different but any and all storied would be greatly appreciated ☺

The answer to this will depend on your age. If you are in your twenties you should not have to much of a problem.
If you are in your late forties plus. You need to be arranging some physiotherapy. Muscle in various parts of the leg could become over contracted and this needs stretching out. Over contracted muscle is painful and inefficient in regard to strength. Tightened muscle on tendon sheaths will cause weakness and require to dealt with appropriately.
