Hospitals: Just had the doctors round to tell... - Pain Concern
Hospitals
Hi again tec
Give the Duloxetine time to get working so you can hopefully begn to pull yourself out of the big, dark place you're in at the moment.
We've all heard the "nothing more we can do in hospital for you" line and at the time it's sounds pretty harsh I've now come to realise that I am better off in my own home, managing my pain to MY timetable.
Give yourself some time to think about where you go from here; once the med kicks in and you feel a little more positive. It's a waiting game but you'll get there.

sorry to hear you feel like that. I used attend the hospital too and got the same sort of response, ie a pat on the head and see you in six months. My GP took over my care, no more hospital, he knows me much more than they ever will and we get on fine, try this. Do you try to hide how you feel from your family? maybe you should tell them how much pain you are in, let them help if they can, sadly, dealing with the pain is the only answer but you really have to talk to people before you get too depressed . Hey, at least you have sunshine which is a lot more than we have around here! take care of yourself. Lyzzie
