L5 S1 decompression surgery

Hi i had surgery yesterday on my L5 S1 lefted hospital that night. In so much pain on pain killer's.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to relieve some of the pain ?

I can't believe you're out of hospital already!

When I had my decompression surgeries I was in for a week both times.

What pain meds do you have at home?

Yep got out same day. Im on Targin 10/5 also Nurofen . I have to go my doctor to get something stronger.

Omg beth i cant believe your home already after an op like that. Surely you should be on morphine or something similar? How are you managing the toilet etc. I think they send patients home far too early nowadays. If your really not managing the pain you should call your docter out. Hope you find relief soon. X

Yep home that day on Targin 10/5 & Nurofen not working but. Have to go back & get something stronger. Going to the toilet its hard getting up & down but everything is hard at the moment. I agree it is to early to be sent home .

BETH, YOU NEED TO CONTACT YOUR DOCTOR, I'D THOUGH THEY WOULD HAVE GIVEN YOU SOMETHING STRONGER. I AM FACING SURGERY FOR A PINCHED NERVE IN MY BACK, SURE NOT LOOKING FORWARD TO IT EITHER, BUT I SURE CAN'T BEAR THIS PAIN TOO MUCH LONGER EITHER. Thanks hurting bad. Ive been off work since September 2015 i just wanna get back to work but its just to hard. So im hoping another month . The pain is unbearable ill be thinking of you when you havs your surgery xx
