Does any one have it and how do they cope
Thank you
I have pain all over. I try and take it day by day that's all I can do my dr will not prescribe pain pills.
Why does your dr not give you pain pills? Find another dr! It's your right.
Not sure what you want to know?
What is global pain Tia Maria? what are your health conditions and prescribed meds?
Global pain is when your body is used to being in pain so will never be rid of pain
When I was younger I was ran over by a car at 10 and 13
I'm 30 now (neither was my fAult)
I've got 3 metal plates in my head had 2 blood clots in my brain and brain damage twice
I shattered my pelvis broke both legs twice
Had a blood clot in my leg
Broken ribs nose jaw
Broken arm
Leg shot up through my body
List goes on
I have been prescribed many things
Lycra think it was called
I had an overdose on due to alcohol
Last thing I was prescribed was morphine patches
It was great I was out of pain but I went mad
I hated my family and my husband
My parents had to come back from their holiday and ring the emergency doctor who told me to take the patch off immediately as I was reacting to it (apparently morphine is not for people with head injury) I was having a bad side effect.
I was put on very strong antihistimens to reduce muscle swelling
My stomach did not agree to this as I've a stomach hernia so had to come of these also.
I have had months of Counciling which helped abit.
Now I prescribe myself canabis (which my GP knows)
Now a days I've got arthritis in my neck spine knees neck both shoulders and knees
I was confirmed at the pain clinic
My pain has started to move to my legs from my back but it's not all over.
This sounds awful. How do you cope?
Hi bonni1, how unlucky you are to be run over twice and with all those injuries to contend with. The sort of injuries that you have do unfortunately end up arthritic which causes a different kind of pain. I don't have much in the way of advice other that to try and keep your joints moving and strong to support your body. I have had a lot of fractures over the years and find that those areas feel painful and stiff but definitely worse in the mornings after laying all night. In the winter i keep my body warm and try to massage the pains away. I also struggle on holiday if it's really hot as my joints swell up so i can't win really. All you can do is try different things like the usual heat and ice, tens machine, excercise, creams and lotions and medications. If you find what works please let me know but untill then i wish you the best of luck. X
I have global pain with Fibromyalgia and Arthritis. After a while I find the pain is just a way of life I only really notice it if I get sudden short bursts of intense pain.
Thank you
