Does anyone get head pressure/pain when bending over or straining??
Hello Josey,
I know how I would feel if I was having this sort of symptom.
One of the things that I would consider is that if it was serious then my Doctor would probably have sent me to hospital in the first place.
If I was still concerned, I would go back and see the Doctor to explain that I am really stressed about this and would like to know if there were any other tests (e.g. Blood tests / blood pressure and so forth) that could be done more quickly that could shed light on the problem or at least rule out a few things.
If I were able to, I would consider going private in order to have the scan done quickly as well as seeing someone to interpret the scan. My wife and I did this when she had a lump in her stomach. We were scared that it was cancer and so we paid for an Ultrasound. We saw someone local very quickly and the Doctor diagnosed a hernia straightaway.
Please do not suffer in silence, speak to your Doctor. Please do not use Dr Google, you will scare yourself silly.
Best wishes,
Dave
This could be a muscular behaviour problem. Muscular behavioural problems do not show up on MRI scans, x-rays or ultrasound. You need to see two specialists. A McTimony chiropractor and an Alexander Teacher.
I have a good idea what could be causing your problem. I do not have the command of the English language to describe what I think what you are doing when you are bending or straining.
Explaining the problem to an experienced Alexander Teacher will helpfully get a solution to the possibly muscular behavioural problem.
Hope this helps
Hi don't want to scare u but I suffer from a very rare illness called syringomyelia , I too have pressure in my head when I bend over or if straining ,I also get it when coughing or if I laugh too much , not saying that it might be this but mine was picked up on a MRI scan and not a lot of doctors know of this illness . It effects my right side more and goes down my neck , arms , lower back and hip and legs which is very painful, it's like a burning pain and my hands and feet go numb . Look it up on google . I hope u get things sorted soon but I know it's I long wait for MRI scans , let us know how u get on . Gentle hugs Linda
I know this was from two years ago but this is exactly what I be been experiencing for the past 6-8months. Curious to know what you discovered?
I had this headache pain for over 8 months before getting a diagnosis. I had a csf, cerebral spinal fluid leak. Most docs don't think of it. My pain came when I would bend over, sneeze or strain. It felt like my head was exploding. After being diagnosed, I had a blood patch procedure. The first one didn't take. The second one worked. I've been pain free for years now. Please look it up on the Internet. If it is what you have, it's entirely treatable. It's wonderful not to have that pain.
I have had this for a year and a half, with no diagnosis. They're giving me a anti-depression medication that is supposed to help with some headaches, but I don't think it's doing much, if any good. I'm wondering HOW you were diagnosed. I had a lumbar puncture. Is that what they did to diagnose you?
I do to have u gotten any reasonable explanation for it yet.
