Arm pain: I have been on here lots my shoulder... - Pain Concern
Arm pain
Have you had xrays or scans.
Could It be a trapped nerve.
Pls go back to the GP and get some answers. This is simply unfair and Is causing you a great deal of stress and pain.
I wish you luck.

I have a shoulder impingement, it sounds a lot like the pain you are getting. The pain clinic are all about treating pain, they are not really diagnosticians. As Ryan said, go to your G.P at least he should have some clue ! And send you for an X Ray or Ultrasound. I had my shoulder injected for five years before surgery became necessary, that maybe all you need too. When you have chronic pain any new pain feels very acute and your brain notices it even more. If you don't get some treatment for it, it's likely to freeze, and that makes matters even worse. If you have a T.E.N.S machine try it, it works well on my shoulder, you maybe lucky and it will help you. I wish you some relief from your awful pain.
Hi I have the same thing went to my docs and sending me for physiology but woke up this morning and lot of pain shooting between my shoulder blades and can't breath properly so get to doc quick god luck
Thank you all ,I have had a full mri on it and went to pain clinic only to have a nurse see me who had no idea what to do she said I need to come back and see the docter she as been overseeing my back and leg pain but it's september as for my gp does not no what to do I will try and see her tomorrow but it's a waste of time I put chilli cream on but it only helps a little I have 2 morphine patches and I am on morphine tablets, gabapentin naproxen I am coping just by resting every hour with my back and legs to shop I need my wheelchair and sticks I go to turkey tomorrow as I try not to let it beat me plus hubby needs his break,I get wheelchair assistance and then because our hotel is steps of the beach I take my sticks not wheelchair I took it last year and I found heat helps my body so I did not need the chair much jst my sticks infact I lent my wheelchair to a elderly gentlemen, so we shall see but back to my shoulder I barley can lift I cant sleep on it I cant push down with that arm what so ever xx
calcification can build up in the shoulder, causing extreme pain and limited movement. it can be seen on normal x-ray. steroid injections are used firstly, then arthroscopy under anaesthetic if needed. I've had it done twice from 2007, x
What does that mean arthroscopic please it really hurts I seem to be getting less movement as weeks go on xx
sorry for late reply, not been to good. arthroscopic means they put you under general anaesthetic (asleep). they then make 2 or 3 very small cuts around painful shoulder then put a scope in (camera) that shows inside your shoulder, and do what needs doing to your shoulder. much better than one larger cut x
This could be pressure on the nerve roots in the neck. Worth getting an MRI scan as well as seeing a chiropractor.
Make sure you discuss it with your GP to ensure that there is nothing untoward.
