A friend of mine has suggested that i have very similar symptoms to fibromyalgia and the Fatigue, Sleep difficulties, Brain fog and morning stiffness could be the result of that, I'm not one for self or friend diagnosis at all but would this be something to look it to? i have informed my doctor many times of the symptoms i am suffering with and some of the new ones. any help or suggestions would be helpful.

Morning stiffness and waking in the night stiff and in pain is also the hallmark of spondyloarthritis, which is often misdiagnosed (especially in women) as fibro. Check out the signs of "inflammatory back pain" (there is a list of criteria on the National Ankylosing Spondylitis Society website) and if you think you may possibly have inflammatory pain, ask your GP for a referral to a rheumatologist.

Ask your Gp to refer you to Rheumatology. My GP suspected I had Fibro last Feb when after I explained my symptoms (similar to yours ) she touched my shoulder and I nearly hit the ceiling I didnt even know my shoulder hurt as I was in so much pain every where else (felt like flu). A month later Rheumy confirmed Fibromyalgia and inflammatory disease. Best to get it checked out and get diagnosed properly then you know what you are fighting. Good luck. Gentle hugs Joolz.x
