Hello sarahjd

As you will know the patches slow release over 72 hours so you get the same effect from start to finish.

Some people are allergic to the sticky prt bit that can be helped with hydrocautizone cream. ) spelling?)

David has worn them for 8 years now with great effect. nowadays he has to top up with cocodamol and recently strength of patch was increased.

Ypu may well feel sleepy and tired to start with but once your body has got used to them driving etc is fine.

Oh thanks I must admit I was really reluctant to try them as marked the next level of pain killer but am really noticing the difference x don't want to tempt fate and say they are helping in case "the pain monster" thinks I am ignoring him and come back he he !!

As this is a 'next level' medication you should certainly find a marked improvement if suited. In my case unfortunately, I was found to be allergic to the patch adhesive in both Fentanyl and Buprenorphine patches, so back to the old Morphine. I hope you find they suit and receive some relief from their use.

I love them - they have really helped me. The only problem is remembering to change the patch every 3 days. I've forgotten a few times, and suffered the effect (more pain, then it takes about 15 hours to recalibrate in your body).

If anyone has any good tips for remembering to change them, please let me know!

Oh I have set reminders on my phone! Do u find when you change your patch it takes a few hours to get levels back up ?? Might just be my imagination ? Really was reluctant to go onto them as wanted to stay offstronger stuff but am rally noticing not only pain relief but feeling better mentally x pus not snapping at my long suffering hubby so much!!
