Hello magtogo
If you are 65 it will not affect you. You will stay on DLA and not be migrated on to |PIP.
That is the plan for now. However those of us in the know say it will only be a matter of time before pensioners are means tested for disability benefits.
Don't worry about that for now. All bemefits will be means tested eventually.

Thankyou so much Pat, l have been concerned that l may have to go through all sorts of paperwork and assessments in the very near future.
A nightmare thought.
l follow the "Health Unlocked" site and have had so much help and inspiration from those people who post on it.
This site is certainly a God send to me.
Hi Magtogo, in reply to your question, anyone who was on DLA who reached 65 before April 2013 will not have any change in the foreseeable future, so don't worry but as Pat says changes are afoot for the future so who knows how that will effect disabled pensioners. Mobility allowances were in line to be removed for all in 2015 not sure how that stands now, but if it goes ahead many of us in receipt of that benefit could end up financially penalised no matter how disabled we are. My sentiment is enjoy it now and face the changes when and if they come.
Check out the Benefits and Work website benefitsandwork.co.uk/. they will tell you everything and anything you need to know and also try Age Concern ageuk.org.uk/money-matters/... thet can be useful, and lastly good old .gov (can you spot the irony!) gov.uk/government/publicati..., it has the official guidelines. hope this helps.
You have had some good replies already, so the only thing I would add would be to go see the disability advisor at CAB if you get any notification at all of anything changing. They will be able to give you really good advice on how to deal with whatever DWP throws at you.
