I have been in terrible kidney pain after having a 9mm stone removed, well lasered, I woke up in recovery and screamed for 3 hours whilst they tried to get on top of pain, I do suffer painfull conditions so not afraid of pain at all, this was something else.
Was wondering if anyone else has suffered the same

Yes!! Omg had that same procedure on Thursday for bilateral kidney stones! I screamed in recovery as well and also am very pain tolerant due to undiagnosed pain conditions relating to my right kidney. They tried every medicine nothing worked I got admitted. He removed all the stone fragments and inserted bilateral J stents. I couldn't pee so they kept having to straight cath me and I ended up getting sent home with a foleys catheter the next day. That was a nightmare, I couldn't move without pain. Tuesday I got the catheter out and the stents which was awful. I peed a enough to get sent home. About 30 mins after horrible renal colic started as if there was an obstruction, took dilaudid, torridol, oxybutynin, flomax, didn't work. Couldn't pee at all. Called the doctor and he told me to double up on my dilaudid so I did and it helped relax my bladder to pee and the pain faded a little BUT now I can't pee unless I take dilaudid and have kids to take care of and I'm a mess!! Let me know what's going on with you. I hope everything gets better
