Happy New Year!

The Ovacome office is open again and already we're back in the swing of things!

First up is the initial meeting of our younger women's support network happening in central London on the 19th January at 6pm. Ovacome is aware of the specific need to support young women with a diagnosis and this meeting offers the chance to meet other young women who have faced a similar diagnosis and many of the same challenges; a place to exchange experiences, advice and support and to advise Ovacome on how we can best expand our services to meet these specific needs. The meeting is already proving very popular but we have spaces still available - please contact Ruth Payne on r.payne@ovacome.org.uk if you would like to attend.

We are also gearing up for another ovarian cancer awareness month this March, encouraging women and health care professionals to recognise the signs and BEAT ovarian cancer. We also have exciting news coming up about our new online BEAT symptoms checker and our Teal Tips campaign where we're teaming up with leading nailcare brand OPI to launch an initiative to encourage women to wear teal coloured nail polish and prompt awareness, as demonstrated by our wonderful patron, Jenny Agutter!

Watch this space for more details, or check out the Spring 2011 issue of your Ovacome magazine, which should be with you at the beginning of February.
