what are the chances of OC coming back ??

im 6 months clear an i just wanna no what r the chances of my cancer coming back ?

Hi Charlie, I'm Hayley and was diagnosed aged 24, I honestly don't think anyone can answer your question, everyone is completely different, its scary and I don't think there's one hour goes by where I don't think about it coming back but I just try as best I can to get on with my life, u sound as though you are really strong and to focus pn helping others is amazing, take care and lots of love, xxx

Hi Charlie, i was diagnosed with stage 3b oc and I had a full hysterectomy followed by chemo, that was 5 years ago now. I did a lot of my own research on vitamins, etc, and like i tell everyone on here, take 2 ginger root 550mg every day and look for yourself what it says about ginger and ovarian cancer on the internet. It is my biggest fear recurrence, but the fact is no one knows if your O.C will come back, not even your onclogist can tell you, they can give you an idea, from the surgery and your treatment, but its only a guess, just be optimistic, and enjoy the moment, eat right get lots of sleep and exercise, and keep your weight down!! [that is if you have that problem] I have read that we have come on with O.C treatment in the last 10 years, but still there is plenty more that needs to be done, its just a shame Breast Cancer gets the most support and they seem to be on top of their treatment and have better outcomes, than O.C long term.

I can only echo what the others say. I went 13 years before mine came back and I do know two people who had oc as young women and have gone 20 years without reoccurance. Stay posiitive and get back to enjoying life. And as Ellen says - keep taking the ginger! Angela xx
