Hi Caz,
Im in same situation. Last chemo dec. 2011 and my last Ct did show some changes in abdoman wall. Im still "under control" and waiting for right time to start second line of chemo. My oncologist said we will start after Christmas...i feel same as you, i was hoping i would be mirracle one.....im only 32 years old with 6 years old boy, finding this life experience very hard even im trying my best to be strong and positive...wishing you all the best
Hello Caz,
I to have the thing back, did three years in remission with a count that was climbing all the time but very slowly (thank goodness) only had chemo carboplatin. Last Sept the count started to jump higher, but they are still watching me and seeing when I need to go onto chemo again.
My last scans dont show much of a change so its a wait and watch situation !!
I now have a CA125 of 970, but due to have another blood test tomorrow cant wait to see what it is now !!
Hang on in there.
luv trish x
Hi Trish thanks for your reply my count is 340 but scans show little noduals scatterd and have bloating so chemo stars next week x Best Wishes to you
Hi there Caz ..
Its the news no one wants to hear so very sorry to hear that it has returned after 11months .
Thinking about you x
Love Jan xx
Hi Caz
I've had exactly the same, 3 chemo full hysterectomy, 3 chemos. I also had 11 months remission, then the reoccurance! I'm going through the chemos again, I'm due the third one next week, all being well. I've heard of lots of people who have gone into a long remission after a reoccurance, so I take that as positive.
All the best,
Chris
Hi Caz , So sorry to hear it has returned . Chris is right . There is lots people out there with long remissions after 1st line treatment . So sorry this has happened . Stay strong

High Wendy same as you mine is back again,so annoying when we think we had it beaten?should be starting chemo next week,?but also doing alt. therapy with my onc, backing, also I choose not to have taxol just carboplatin. do wish you all the very best be in touch .love Jenny
Hi Caz
I had a good remission of 18 months following 1st line chemo, then had recurrence in lymph nodes so started 2nd line last October (carbo/gemcitibane). Seems to have done the trick as CA125 now 11, but my count was never high (27 at highest when diagnosed with Stage 3C in Sept 2009) so it is not a good judge. I am having my a follow-up CT scan in a couple of weeks so hope that goes ok. As the other ladies say, even if it does recur there are lots of different treatments out there which will blast it away again, hopefully for a very long time or forever!! Good luck with your treatment
Love Colette xxxx
Good luck with the follow-up, Colette. Let us know how you get on
Love Wendy xx
Hi caz
I was clear for nearly 3 years till I was told it was back on my liver this year, luckily I was offered a resection which was carried out in march, and have been clear since, I have to have scans 3 monthly now as my bloods dont show anything abnormal.
as the others said, even though I had clear cell in both tumours, the onc is still positive about future treatments, and things are changing rapidly in this area.
take care
sue
