Just wanted to say A BIG THANK YOU to everyone who left me tips of improving my sleepless nights.
Although I am still not sleeping through the night my sleep seems to be getting better. I even dreamed last night about work. Tips I received are;
Listed to the radio in bed try soothing music.
Have a snack if you wake up in the night
Hot milk before bed
Turn off the computer an hour before bed time
Use a light quilt on the bed
Try to relax when you go to bed
Don't put the TV on in the bedroom
I am still waking up 3 times a night to go to the bathroom but whereas before when I did wake I stayed awake for a couple of hours this week I have only stayed awake for about 20 mins then I go back to sleep.
So anyone who is having sleep problems due to steroids and chemo try these tips or click onto my previous question "SLEEP PROBLEMS " AND READ EVERYONES ANSWER IN FULL. I HOPE THIS HELPS YOU AS IT HELPED ME.
Hope everyone is enjoying this lovely weather Love Babs x x

glad its getting there now, another thing I do- when my head gets out of control is to take my phone and use one of the sleep apps, theres plenty to choose from if you have a smartphone.
weathers making me wilt a bit- a bit like my greenhouse- but I am not complaining- I am off to Barcelona on monday, so off shoe shopping today whoop whoop!
Delighted things are improving for you ..mind you this lovely heat makes it hard to sleep but we must not complain as we have waited a long while for it .....
I am finding the more I now do in the garden is tiring me out and making me sleep through the night ..you will get there xxx
I too suffer from very sleepless nights.....I visited my doctor today who recommended yoga and pilates - very helpful I'm sure, but if I didn't do it before my op, I'm hardly likely to be able with a stomach full of stitches!
Seriously, I've found a product made by 'Sanctuary' that offers some help - '4 in 1 restoring body elixir' available at Boots. Add it to a bath, or to damp hair or even directly onto the skin - I give my face a mini massage with it before bed. It's not a cure all, but it does actually improve my sleep patterns. Contains patchouli, frankincense and ylang ylang, so as long as you are not allergic to these ingredients you'll be fine.
