On a lighter note.

I picked my granddaughters up from school today and it was the first time they had seen me since I had my hair cut short on Monday. Bo who is eight said like your hair Nana its like your new wig. She then went on to say I could borrow her Hanna Montana wig which was long and blond, I had to politely say think nana is a little bit old to have long blond hair. It made me laugh which was something I needed today as my hair is beginning to fall out now. Love to all from Babs x x

Hi Babs,

I had a short brown wig which matched my hair style before. My friend gave me a long blond wig which I accepted never thinking I would wear it.

However on the 1st of April I met some friends in a coffee bar and was the first to get there. I wore the blond wig and positioned myself near the counter. My friends came in looking round for me. I overheard them saying "she's not here yet". I was sitting in full view of them all but nobody recognised me! They even texted me to see where I was.

One of my friends got her things then started looking for a table. I called out to her but she still looked round at everyone else before realising it was me with the blond hair!

The second time I wore it was one of my friends put on a surprise party for my birthday at her house. I thought we were going out into town so for a laugh I wore the wig again. I don't know who was more surprised me when everyone jumped out and said surprise or them when they saw me in a blond wig!! You should have seen their faces!!

So never say never the time may come when it would be fun to surprise everyone.

Love the story about the grandchildren, they're always able to make us smile aren't they.

It is horrible losing your hair, I also found it quite painful, so sending hugs and best wishes.

Hi babs, I've just had my hair cut very short and ordered wig no 3... Happened a bit sooner than I expected, but I knew it would happen. Hope it means the chemo has been just as successful. I'm glad to say I have a bit mre energy today to face these things with. Stay positive and enjoy the new look.

Hi Viv well I still have hair but ordered my 2Nd Wig today its similar to the one already have but it has gold streaks in it. Thought I could keep one for work and one for going out in. I also bought a turban hat and two pretty scarfs to tie round it so I think I'm prepared. I don't suppose I will ever be prepared to what is going to happen (ie my hair falling out) but at lease I have everything ready for when it does xx Love and hugs Babs x x
