Hi

This is just a reminder of this months upcoming Ovacome younger women's ovarian cancer support group. This is the general info on the group....

Ovacome holds a regular support group for women under 45 (ish) at the Maggie's Centre in London, in the grounds of Charing Cross Hospital near Hammersmith tube station.

Meetings take place on the 1st Wednesday of every month from 6.30 - 8.30pm and offers speakers, support and the chance for discussion and connection with other young ovarian cancer patients.

You do not need to book a place, but please phone 08453710554 first to check there have been no changes and to make sure there are enough refreshments.

Partners and friends are welcome and refreshments will be provided.

It is an informal dynamic group and new faces are very much welcome.

Please let Ruth Payne at Ovacome know you are thinking about coming 08453710554

I won't tell ;-) Be lovely to see/meet you. Where do you live? x

All are welcome! The initial idea was that it's for women diagnosed before the age of about 45, i.e. pre menopause, as it brings so many other issues into play (fertility, surgical/medical menopause, work, and the general 'why me' issues of being a younger woman with a cancer diagnosis). It's a fantastic group and has really been a real support for me. It takes me about 2 hours to get there and 2 hours to get back, but it's worth it - as our Leicester friend will agree!
