I thought I'd share information about a Group on Facebook called Ovarian Cancer UK. If you have a Facebook account you may be interested in joining this group.
I've posted up a pic of the front page. I've just posted up a notice of our next SE Wales Ovarian Cancer Support Group hoping to reach a wide audience.

Hi Whippit thanks for that. I've joined as well. I still feel a bit of a fraud being a member of these groups as my tumours were borderline but invasive xx
There are no frauds here on this site. Any encounter with such a terrifying disease is a life-changing event - and if it were not for some of our group surviving more than the predicted 6 years or so we would never make any progress campaigning for better recognition, treatment and research.
We're also here to support you as long as you want to continue to be a member of the site.
Hopefully we'll see more women in Wales join the site - or do what Jo suggested last week and create a Facebook page for our SE Wales Support Group. We need to build up contacts in Wales to get a voice heard.
Have emailed Kevin Brennan as I'll be meeting him at the All Party Parliamentary Group on 6 July and would like to discuss a few things with him beforehand - like why women under Cardiff and the Vale NHS don't have access to Avastin!!!!
Chris messaged me earlier pointing out that the Ovarian Cancer UK Facebook Group is for anyone interested in Ovarian Cancer. It's therefore an important networking tool to raise awareness of the symptoms.
I've had a look at the Tenacious Teal Group and they have some great ideas - though its founder is in the US and perhaps not entirely relevant to the UK.
Perhaps this means we should ask around to see if there's a UK version of Tenacious Teal. Do we need it to do some political lobbying to improve the UK statistics on diagnosis and treatment of Ovarian Cancer. I don't want to create a new group if something exists already.
