Is there anyone who has taken Niraparib stopped and continued to be in remission? It would be nice to hear your story. I know it is relatively new treatment and we are unable to know much about the statistics after Niraparib. Look forward any info.

hi Jane

I took niraparib after my first recurrence in 2018, i found it too difficult to take. I did manage 12 months but it made me feel so unwell so with the agreement of my consultant I stopped it. I have remained fine ever since. This could be coincidence but i like to feel the niraparib gave me some extra time xx

All the best

Hello, Jane. My mother has similar experience, although it's with another targeted drug - Olaparib. She was diagnosed with stage 4a in 2019. She had surgery, chemo, and then started taking Olaparib. After being on it for 3+ years (with stable disease), she stopped it, following doctors' advise. She's been off the drug for 4 months now, and today she had a PET scan, which still showed stable disease. She's doing well, and they will be monitoring her with PET scans each 6 months. I wish you best of luck! ❤️
