Magnesium glycolate and Naraparib.

I have insomnia on Naraparib and I've heard that magnesium is good with helping to sleep. I've checked the drug interaction to see if it's ok to take magnesium, there's no contraindication so I wonder wonder if anyone else has tried it and has it helped with sleeping? Many thanks.

Hi, Since chemo I have regularly taken Magnesium Oxide, not every evening but 5/7. It does help me sleep and relax I believe. Although it definitely helps draw water into the bowel so I now have no constipation issues which treatment and surgery can cause and potentially alter sleep patterns.

Thanks for your reply. If my oncologist is happy for me to take magnesium I'll give it a try, especially if it helps relieve constipation.

Thank you Anna for all that information. I'll certainly check with my oncologist before taking the magnesium.

hi didn’t take any supplements with it, my oncologist was a definite NO! But he did let me change to taking them in the morning instead which did help a little with the sleep.

Please check with your oncologist before you take anything x
