Hi

I’ve had them all pre/post cancer and I’ll have this one when I get offered, why stop now 🤩 xx Jen

I will have it. Finally got covid in March and due to vaccines and antivirals came through unscathed.

The only one I won’t have is Moderna. x

j have had them all so far plus the emergency infusion when I actually caught covid. It kept me well with a rapid recovery so yes I’ll be having it.

I’ve had all my Covid jabs and boosters, but I’m also unsure about having the Spring jab as I’ve just started Niraparib and it’s already given me raised BP and palpitations 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’ve got mine booked. I’ve been on chemo for most of them, and this year is no exception, so I’ll take whatever is offered, as I’ve avoided Covid so far, despite friends and family members catching it.

I've just received my invitation and I'll have mine and everyone offered. Covid still, potentially, has the capacity to be a serious illness.

Yes, I'll definitely take it. It can't protect 100% against catching Covid, but it makes symptoms much less severe if you do catch it.

No, I won't be taking it, haven't had a booster since my third jab in September 2021, and I regret having that one, if I'm honest, because it was Pfizer- my first two were AZ, so not mRNA ones. I haven't caught COVID either, not even during my recently finished bout of chemotherapy.

I can't imagine why you wouldn't want to have the vaccination. Even when during chemo I have accepted boosters when offered and have had no problems other than on one occasion when I had the Covid and flu vaccines at the same time. I was taking Niraparib and my neutrophils dropped dramatically. It was also the Moderna vaccine. I have had no problems at all with the Pfizer. It is surely better to be protected than not and I am very grateful to have the vaccine available .

Since I'm the only one who isn't taking any more COVID jabs, I imagine your comment is addressed to me. I am persuaded by current research from various scientists/doctors, much of it done in other countries, against having any more. If you did not see Andrew Bridgen's most recent presentation on this subject in Parliament, you may want to seek it out and listen to it. Or not, its up to you, I'm not trying to persuade anyone else to have or not have boosters, it's a personal choice for everyone.

Hi. My post was intended to be a response to Balletchick12 not to you and represents my own views. My understanding of this forum is that it offers an opportunity to share experiences of cancer and our treatment. Certainly I have found it helpful to learn from what has happened to others and to reciprocate. If you don't want to be vaccinated that is entirely up to you. This is not a forum for pro or anti vaccers and my opinion of Andrew Bridgen and his views, whilst it differs radically from yours, is not relevant in this context so I am not going to be drawn into discussion on that point. Best wishes

I had no intention of any further discussion, I'd have thought that was obvious from my response, sorry it wasn't. As I said previously, it's a personal choice for everyone.
