Hi all,Finally had to BEG for drain to be inserted after 2 days of doing nothing! There was no excuse apart from very poor communication between departments.
After having drain in for only 1 hour they then wanted to remove it.
I refused to let them do it and have since drained over 3 litres and its obvious there's still more fluid to drain.

Good job sticking to your guns. We have to stand up for ourselves to make sure we get the appropriate care/treatment and sometimes the patient does know best. Why would they even want to remove it while it was still actively draining? Also always good to have someone along who can ask the awkward questions when too hard for us to, Best of luck! xx
