Has anyone had any experience with the new drug Elahere? What type of side effects did you experience? Any information would help. Thank you.

Hi Syllive,I am reluctant to reply but I was on it as a trial drug last year, for seven weeks until they realised the cancer was progressing and the Elahere was not slowing it down.

The side effects were fairly mild and maneagable so I don't want to put you off. You will already know that it works well for some but not others.

I wish you much better luck. In our situation anything is worth trying and it wouldn't put me off future trials.

Hi Summer gold,I'm on weekly Taxol and Avastin at the moment which is bringing the numbers down. Seems like it's the last option in the toolbox so this is a tough period of acceptance but I'm grateful that it's doing the job for now.
