GSF side effects

Morning all,I've been on GSF injections due to persistent neutrophils. The bone pain has been quite debilitating, but with this last round I've also noticed both my ankles have become swollen remain swollen even after being in bed all night and the foot of the bed elevated. Has any one else experienced this or could it be something else? I'm worried that ascites maybe returning.

Oh, not nice; I had GSF in my first occurrence in 2011 and agree about the bone aching distress...but it did work to raise the blood count and so enable me attend my son's wedding! I'd ring my CNS or oncologist and his/her team?

Warmest wishes, X

hi

I had the same bone pain but not the ankle problem sorry

I took loratadine, anti histamine tablet, for the pain and it did make it more bearable, and I came across that by posting on here too

Hope you get sorted soon x

That's interesting about the loratidine, I wonder how that works?Spoke the CNS yesterday and now have a face to face appointment with oncologist tomorrow after blood test.

Thanks for your suggestion 😊

I've had swollen ankles from the heat the last week or two. Could it just be that?

I took Claritin (loratadine) and it helps tremendously with bone pain. I also had swelling in my legs and it was lymphedema due to some cancerous lymph nodes. Chemo had brought that back to normal.

Thanks so much for your reply. I'm actually having chemo atm. Had Gemcitabine last week. Last PET scan was showing good response to current treatment.

Hopefully oncologist will have some answers or advice tomorrow. 🙏
