Hi everyone, I have only posted a couple times on here so will give you a bit of background.
July 2021 I found a lump in my stomach , went to GP and referred for tested.
Full hysterectomy on October 5th 2021 and found it was stage 1 ovarian cancer and had 6 cycles of carboplatum. I am so so grateful and lucky to be out the other side.
Oncologist says there's very very low risk of it ever coming back.
However, I found out I have the Brca1 gene and was given a mammagram last month and have been recalled for another one as it says it's unclear.
As you can all imagine I am stressed and panicking that it's the worst 😞
My last mammagram was November 2020 so 2and a half years ago.
If it's breast cancer what's the chances that it's been caught early if it's been 2 and a half years ?
I know nobody can answer this question, I'm just having a panic and looking for similar stories
Xx

Hiya - following 2 surgeries for HGS OC and initial carbo/taxol I was recalled after my routine mammogram. They rescanned and found 3 nodules on my breast. They did a biopsy then and fortunately confirmed as benign cysts.
Unclear means unclear, so try to keep that firmly in mind. I am BRCA 2 and did have breast cancer 20. Years ago. It was quite aggressive and advanced but has never come back. My OC was 4b on diagnosis but 2 years later I am doing well. I am a miracleof modern medicine and breast cancer is far more treatable than OC . As you know, they may well come back with Nothing very much to worry about, we just needed a clear photo, madam, and send you on your way.
Hi! That happened to me too and, of course, I panicked!😱 But it turned out they were telling the truth and it was just an unclear image!🥵 I think we all zoom straight into panic mode don't we? I know it's hard but try not to worry! Good luck😘
Late to the party here, but yes, there are all sorts of things that can look "unclear" on a mammogram. My first mammogram after completing ovarian cancer treatment, they saw something on the image, ushered me into a room where I was alone for at least half an hour, then sent me to ultrasound for a scan. It turned out to be a benign cyst and nothing to worry about, and now they check all the mammogram images before they let me go, but I was absolutely frightened out of my wits, especially being left alone like that.
