reccurence in axillary node

has anyone recurred in this area? My mum has a suspicious lesion and a suspicious lymph node

Hello, the weird thing about OC is that it seems to be able to pop up just about anywhere! Unfortunately for us that means anything suspicious reported on a scan could be a recurrence. I had lung nodes reported on every scan for a year until my oncologist said that they had probably been there for decades and were probably not anything to do with my cancer.

However it did come back in my paraortic node and liver… which meant chemo.

I wouldn’t focus too much on the location, more on what they are doing over time and whether your Mum feels well or if she has any pain etc in that area.

hi Lyndy curious on what type of chemo you had for the liver reoccurrence. I have been on some form of chemotherapy for 3 1/2 years Straight! Cannot do harsh anything as I have no muscle anywhere and on heavy pain meds. I do not have any mutations either no braca 1 or 2. It is all around the liver and has swelled up like I am 8 months pregnant. Believe or not not enough acites for drainage all live swelling

Frustrating… they are going to try Abraxane

I am sorry Summergold2, you are going to hate me because I had single agent carboplatin which has worked really well for me as I am BRCA 1+ but I know that others have had harsher combinations. You may get your own back as the next time I need chemo it will be carbo caelyx 🥶

there is no room my dear for hate for you or anyone going through this, only for this cancer😘 thank you for responding so quickly I had carbo calex second line think I am on fifth going in sixth. So many I forget 🤣my tumor and I have both been tested every which way to Thursday with NO mutations it sucks ! But onward we go ! 😁🦋🦋🦋
