Hello All
We've been asked to share the following information by a documentary student who is making a film about ovarian cancer.
"Hello, I’m Huiju Park and studying Directing Documentary at the National Film and Television School(a highly regarded organisation supported by BBC, Sky, Channel 4 etc.). Currently, I am planning a short documentary film called "Bitter Cells.” The reason I am reaching out is to explain about this project and to ask if I can get any help with my ongoing research.
"Bitter Cells" is a story about my life as a documentary director and a patient with ovarian cancer, documenting how one person's illness affects the patient and the people around them, especially their family.
The part I want to focus on particularly in this project is the emotional journey of people dreaming and planning tomorrow with loved ones whose future is uncertain as well as a sincere conversation about the difficulties of being a caregiver.
If you are willing to share your life moments as a caregiver of someone with ovarian cancer with me, I would be grateful if you could share them with me in any way possible. If you are participating in a support group for ovarian cancer patients' families and friends and are interested in this project, please let me know about the group's information or feel free to invite me.
The research is planned to be conducted until the third week of May. Please feel free to contact me at any time if you would like to talk or send your photos, videos, or diaries. My email is huijuya.park@gmail.com."
Best wishes
Anna
