Talk to your chemo nurse about changing or doubling up on anti sickness tabs. You can take ondanestron alternating with metaclopromide to give a better all round control. But there are others, it’s a question of finding the right one for you xx

I totally agree with Lyndy. I took ondansetron, domperidone and cyclizine - that controlled it. Also eat little and often and plain foods. Hope it improves x

I found GinGin sweets were good, from Holland & Barrett or Amazon and I only has them and not the anti-sickness meds. And drink water, hope you feel better soon xx

Hi Cazy,On your next chemo visit, ask if they have different antinausea tablets. They keep a couple of types in my chemo room. They work well for me and a different one might suit you better.

All the best,

I found the nausea difficult to deal with on days 3 - 6. I took ondanstron (which caused awful constipation), cyclizine and metoclopramide. One of the best tips I had was ginger biscuits which were really helpful! You will start to feel better soon x

I agree with the other ladies! Call your chemo team, there are other anti sickness meds out there and it can take a while to get the right one.

I had one of the worst cases of nausea my oncologist ever seen. They put me on ondansetron throughout my 3 cycles. Didn’t throw up while I was on it but still felt nauseous as I was constipated. Ask for stronger anti sickness meds and if you don’t have regular bowel movements it can also add onto the nausea, make sure to take laxatives/natural laxatives when constipated.

Oh, and ginger tea always helped take off the nausea for a few hours. Make sure to drink it after some food (wouldn’t want to drink something so strong on an empty stomach).

Hope that you’ll get better soon!

Hello Cazy1010, sorry you are feeling rough with chemo. This may sound crazy but I drank buttermilk while on chemo and it helped with my upset tummy. If you like buttermilk give it a try it just might help you. I hope it helps you as it does me!!!! God Bless you ❤️🦋✝️
