Niraparib side effects

hi everyone, I’ve got grade 3 high grade serous ovarian cancer, I finished 6 rounds of Paclitaxel and carboplatin in Desember. I’ve just started 200mg Niraparib three weeks ago but seem to have developed swollen legs, has anyone had any experience of this?

Hi Hannah54

I suggest you get it checked out. I am on another Parpi and it doesn’t seem to be a known side effect but I also have lymphodema (swelling in the legs) as the lymph nodes in my abdomen no longer shift lymphatic fluid very efficiently.

If there’s a chance you might be developing lymphodema, ask to be referred to a specialist lymphodema service in your area (GP surgeries don’t always have the specialist skills ).

Best of luck with it all xx
