Well after all this time I didn't know that Ovacome had leaflets explaining all sorts of things. I sent off for some and they are very interesting. One is about diet with blocked bowels. If only I'l had this information previously. I've been eating all the wrong things and have been bloated and look pregnant and have done for some time. When I had a blocked bowel I asked for dietary advice and was told there was none and even people with diabetise couldn't get to see a dietician.
Well I'm going to start a new diet today and see how it goes. I'll keep you informed after a few weeks. I can't look any worse, anyway.
Best wishes to all. Zena xx

That’s very interesting. Is it a high fibre or low fibre diet?
Low fibre. And I've been eating loads of nuts and seeds which don't help at all. The difficulty is that my husband will need to eat a lot of the things I shouldn't really be eating so it'll make dinners a bit more complicated but I'm sure at my age I'll manage. x
Thanks for that. I was on a low fibre diet for a while because of persistent diarrhoea. It’s very doable but I really missed salads & fruits. I tried to have no fibre but a nurse said, “low fibre is not no fibre” which I though was a sensible comment. Good luck with it.
I also sent for some booklets , very helpful and arrived very swiftly. My husband found them helpful too , I think he'd had his head in the sand a bit ,but after reading them he's been more realistic, some I ordered were upsetting but we needed to know these things . Hope the diet is good for you .Cheryl x
You can read the information on your screen, or download the booklets to your device. If you would like a physical copy of any of the booklets, please just pop an email to ovacome@ovacome.org.uk and our team can pop it in the post for you.
Thanks very much Bobbylynn. Considering what I know we all go through I've been so lucky. I had a CA125 blood test yesterday but am not expecting anything sinister, as for 8 years now it's been 8. I've had the usual bowel blockage and I still have peripheral neuropathy but otherwise can't complain. Well I could but it wouldn't help anything would it?
I do hope all is well with you and wish you the very best. Zena x
