I am been investigated for both bowel and ovarian cancer as there has been a change in my bowel habits I have very large bowel movements and feel constipated for most of the day. I want to see if anyone has had similar experiences.

Hi Shanliss,I’m an OC Survivor I was having severe constipation and frequent urination these were my only symptoms there are other ones also luckily my Doctor sent me for further testing which showed a mass on both ovaries. What tests are you scheduled for?

Hi Shanliss,

Yes in my case my CA125 was 4300 I had my hysterectomy there was no spread to my lymph nodes or beyond the pelvis area that was followed by 6 chemo treatments to kill any rogue cancer cells at present my CA125 is 6 and my post CT scan was clear my particular type was caused by endometriosis but I never had any symptoms it was pretty much silent except for the constipation and urge to urinate more often. What was your CA125?

What were your symptoms

My initial symptoms were bloating, huge bowel movements and large, hard abdomen which I discovered was fluid. After diagnosis my friends told me that I looked as if I had put on a lot of weight. My GP thought I had irritable bowel syndrome.Ultrasound showed the fluid and CT scan showed the tumour.

I have went for an ultrasound and nothing showed up other than a small ovarain cyst. My CA125 came back negative. Did you have any mushy stools or diarrhoea.
