Carbo/Taxol v carbo/Caelyx

I thought Caelyx was the strongest cancer drug according to a lot of the info I have seen, but various posters have said they found it easier than the Taxol. I did too, and it seemed to have worked better for me than the carbo/taxol regime. So I dont think people should necessarily be scared of having it. Just musing idly !

I have only had the Taxol/Carbo chemo mix (plus avastin) and can honestly say that, apart from being a bit achey and tired for a few days each cycle, I was fine - oh and hairloss of course which I liked! Strange the way drugs affect us all so differently. Great that it's working for you! x

Yes, I found Carbo/Caelyx a lot easier than Carbo/Taxol.

I've just started carbo/ caelyx , I've found it easier than carbo / taxol , taxol affected me very badly but I was on the high dose , caelyx isn't so harsh ,my worst side effects are weakness and fatigue, however it's only cycle one so I'll see what follows..Cheryl x

I found it easy but didn't work. Taxol did and was easy.We are all different

Just seen an article in the DM on someone who was on the "red devil" which I assume is Caelyx and she lost all her hair on it! Didnt think that was a normal thing with caelyx, just goesto show the difference in everyone

I thought the red devil was adriamycin (doxorubicin) which I received for breast cancer. My hair fell out after the second dose.

Its the same drug under another name !
