I have had a recent scan which shows there the fluid is rebuilding along with slight thickening of the stomach lining... although shows no tumors or masses...
How do people manage the discomfort of the ascites... dull ache followed by stabbing pains and lots of belching... worse at night when trying to sleep... without doing more chemo..
Im sure many of you have an the experience and can offer up some odeas that worked for you...
For ever hopeful

I also had a lot of stomach problems when the ascites was rebuilding, I tried everything but couldn't get relief until it was eventually bad enough to get it drained. Sorry not very helpful Sue xx
The only thing I found that helped was giong into hospital for a drain. I was doing this every 3 weeks and it was suggested that I had a 'rocket drain' which is a more permanent fixture and means that a district nurse can do the drain once or twice a week at home so it never builds up as much. At this stage I started chemo which dried the fluid up, so I never tried it, but might be worth investigating?
