My skin reaction has been awful, my face rash felt like a burn it got so bad . Dr has stopped drug to let it heal, the plan is a lower dose with antibiotics. I’m anxious about restarting and going through this weeks experience again as it was so bad.

Rash advice, heal & repair skin, experience, reactions, restarting, any advice is welcome please.

I started on Trametanib in October and about two weeks after starting it the skin issues started with acne. Within days it was spreading like wildfire so I asked if I could take doxycline (antibiotic) and my Onc prescribed it. It started working immediately and had completely disappeared within a couple of weeks. I still get dry skin so I use shower gel for sensitive skin and i apply hand cream regularly throughout the day as I keep getting these little splits on my fingers and next to the nails. It’s all manageable now. Good luck x

Thank you, I’ve been on Doxycycline for 10 days and it continued to get worse but this afternoon I feel an improvement so hoping it’ll settle now.

Be careful being out in the sun. I love the sun but have struggled to sit out in it this year as I burn so easily. I burnt my hands one day after sitting out for 20 mins on a really hot day. I’m not sure if this is the Trametanib or doxycline.

I think with both drugs it is advised to avoid the sun (i love sitting in the garden too)
