Cbd oil For anxiety
Hi there
I used cbd oil throughout chemo and still do actually.I found it helped with the side effects and my hot flushes which I now have after the surgery. You need a good quality organic high percentage cbd oil.I put some under my tongue hold it there for 90secs and swallow. The Tonic Tribe is a good one.A small company in Yorkshire run by two lovely helpful ladies who are happy to answer any questions. What they sell in health food shops is generally not strong enough and probably won’t do very much.x
Does this make you drowsy or can you use it in the day time. I don’t want to feel bombed out
HiNo it doesn’t make you feel drowsy, just more calmer really,it is great for anxiety, mild pain and it is generally just a good supportive supplement. As I mentioned it has also really helped me with hot flushes after debulking surgery and it also was good for neuropathy caused by taxol.Start low and build up your dose, you need to be taking enough on a daily basis and you cannot overdose on it.x
Whilst it is a choice for you to make you maybe need to run it by you oncologist first to see if there are any interactions with any treatment you are on. My GP prescribe me a 2mg of Diazepam to be taken as and when anxiety starts affecting sleep. Thankfully it is far less than it was early on so I only take it occasionally be it works for me even at such a low dose. The 'Calm app is also good and has helped with with headphones at whatever time I wake and have trouble getting back off to sleep. The narrated stories are my go to. Haven't got all the way through any without dropping off before the end.! Good luck whatever you decide.
