Just finished my 2nd treatment with Caelyx/Doxil which knock on wood no major side effects except for stomach issues. It feels really sore, almost like wearing a really tight belt and then a little nauaeous. Was wondering if anybody else had stomach issues being on this, and how did you remedy it.
Thanks again for listening.
Cheers 🍻🥂🍻🥂

Also You know what helped with nausea sometimes other than the usual ginger tea which I’m not the biggest fan of was lemon ice pops Also cold grapes if you like them
I was really nauseous on the trial drug
Believe it or not protein although not appetizing when nauseous used to help me as the nurse had recommended a little
Yes I use a heating pad all the time and it seems to help. But thank you for the lemon ice and grape suggestion, will give that a try. I so drink mint tea, but really hasn't done anything yet.
Will get back on track with protein shakes, beforehand had them all the time, was getting a little sick of them.
Hi Shelly. I think chemo messes with our bodily functions so much that aches and pains are just part of the course. My stomach/ bowel functions haven’t been good since my first debulking in 2017. Don’t forget that as well as the chemo going into your system if you’ve had an operation you will have scar tissue.
Also keep a note of what you’ve eaten when you get the discomfort. Maybe something is triggering it. You may have developed an intolerance to something that you’ve always enjoyed e.g. cereal, broccoli ………A full meal is not good for me anymore I’m better with little and often.
I hope you get to the bottom of it! See what I did there? X
Hi Shelley, Glad treatment going ahead. I am in waiting room waiting to see if my bloods have picked up. I felt really sick after first treatment of caelyx/ carbo which I think is the same? Little and often helped me with a half a banana during night. Good luck xxx
