If you are a hospital in patient : do you have to... - My Ovacome
If you are a hospital in patient
Not unless you want to if you are an in patient but yes if you are a day patient x
I was in a ward a couple of weeks ago. We were all told if you were at your own bed space you didn’t need to. Next shift came on and told everyone that you did have to unless you were in a room by yourself! Mm
I was in hospital for 3 weeks in the summer during the first Covid surge & didn’t have to wear a mask as long as I was in bed but as soon as I started moving around I had to wear one. C
In hospital last summer. Not if you're on the ward, but yes if you have to go for scans etc or for a walk outside the ward. Possibly depends on level of infection in the hospital and area?
I think it depends on the ward. I have been an in patient twice since onset of covid. Each time I was tested before I was admitted. Once I was told it was ok I didn't have to wear a mask at all. First visit I was in a two-bed room. I did wear my mask when I left the room but I didn't have to. Second visit I was in a four bed ward. I did wear my mask a lot of the time to make a point as some of the patients who weren't wearing masks got far too close for comfort. Paranoid? - maybe but after all this time I felt really uncomfortable with it. Anyway my point is that some wards say they are Covid free and it is ok not to wear a mask.
I would wear a mask as much as possible, we all have compromised immune systems and Hospital is the worst place for nasty diseases I know the staff do there best but I'm sure I got pneumonia at a Hospital because I was shielding and not going anywhere else. If your struggling with it then it's not worth it but best to be safe. All the best Sue xx
I was in hospital for a few days recently. We didn't have to wear masks in our own ward, but did have to wear one if leaving the ward for any reason. I had to wear one to go for a scan, & when leaving the hospital. Di
I'm in the states and I had to wear a mask the entire time I was in the hospital for inguinal mode surgery, recovery, and also for the 25 radiation treatments after that.
