Hi everyone. I'm 9 months out of chemo, on olaparib daily and Avastin every 3 weeks. On the Care Oncology Center protocol of Atorvastatin/Metformin/Mebendazole/Doxycycline. I have INSANE amounts of muscle pain and weakness in my arms only and can't pinpoint it. COC took me off statin for 3 weeks, no help. Onc says it's probably the olaparib and may just have to push through it. Is anyone else who is on olaparib experiencing such arm/muscle pain? I've been on it since 5/20 so it's weird to me that it would start hurting so now, so much later. Thank you.

Lots of muscle pain in arms, maybe Olaparib?
HI, Ive been on Olaparib over 7 years and not had this or heard of it as a side effect.
I had issues with muscle pain whilst on Statin. Maybe a break of longer than 3 weeks is required or change the statin to another type. Good luck
I have no experience of Olaparib but I was taken off atorvastatin, before my CA diagnosis due to adverse side effects. At the moment I am on a short course of doxycycline for infection & I have dreadful muscle pain, which is listed as a possible side effect on the blurb that came with it. Perhaps it could be this? Sorry not to have any positive advice!C
Joint pain is a known side effect of Olaparib
Hi. I’ve been on Olaparib since April and do have joint pain from it. Right now it’s worst in my hands. I thought Avastin also causes pains like that? Hopefully if it’s Olaparib it will pass.
Hi flowerRose,I've been on Olaparib since 2015.Never suffered from arm pain.I do suffer from acute back pain.I knoŵ Avastin can cause muscle pain and also it could be the after effects of Chemo.
Pitavastatin (Livalo) is the only statin I could take that did not cause excruciating muscle cramps(especially in my glutes). Insurer finally helped pay for it. If you are still having cramping issues, perhaps this would help. Best wishes from Louisiana,
Sashay
My arms started hurting gradually when I started talking them in April. I’m on the same treatment as you.
