Avastin and steroids

I am presently on avastin 1 more to go out of 18 however I am also on steroids for pain avastin is giving me and know I will be due vaccine in couple of weeks is there any medical indication that this would be uswise

I believe generally that the vaccine is recommended for all OC patients. I had my vaccine 9 days ago, no issues and am on PARP for maintenance after front line. May I ask about the Avastin: were you given it with chemo and as maintenance for 18 and what was your staging? Thankyou and my very best wishes for recovery.

Was given with chemo and taxol then on its own ever 3 weeks. Am on trial ICON 8B and finish next month 25 months in all Thanks for your reply Rosems. Nearly forgot stage 4c oc

You seem to be doing great Molly. Please do consider getting the vaccine asap. All the news suggest it protects us all.

Told they are expecting vaccines in 2 wks

I am on a trial and have been told I can have the vaccine. If in doubt though best to check with CNS, oncologist or GP.

No not at all... I have just had jab in week 3 of my chemo cycle... also on steroids for rheumatoid disease. No problems x
