Breathlessness while on Ibrance Letrozole combination

I was diagnosed Stage 1V Metastatic Breast cancer nets to the lungs , lymph nodes in base of neck and spot on spine in July 2019 after 7 years cancer free from original Mastectomy .

I have been on Ribociclib /Letrozole combo for 11 months but developed fluid in my lungs and a really bad rash on my legs . My oncologist has change me to Ibrance 7 days ago but are finding I am getting breathless . Has anyone else had troubles while on the Ibrance / Letrozole ?

So sorry to hear all that, I was on Letrozole but only for 6 weeks as unfortunately it didn’t work for me, I seemed to suffer with hot flushes and night sweats and aching across my neck collar bone and shoulders but not breathlessness or rashes. It is possible I wasn’t really on it long enough, sorry I’m not much help. Have you tried calling your CNS ?? Hope you get it resolved soon and somebody comes along that can offer you a bit more help.

Thank you for your reply Christine . I have been on the Letrozole for 16 months it’s just since I changed to Ibrance from Kasqali . I will talk to my oncologist next visit .

Macmillan recommends contacting a doctor straight away if you develop breathlessness, so please get in touch with your team today or, if you are unable to reach them, speak to your GP or NHS 111.

I hope that you get some help soon to find out what's causing the breathlessness and manage it.
