Hi. I am stage three serous. I finished treatment in August 2017, and recurred March 2020.

Jenny - are you BRCA2?

No. No BRCA gene. I have just started Carbo/Caelyx.

Hi. I've got High Grade Serous, Stage 3c, with the BRCA2 mutation. I was diagnosed January 2016, recurrence was diagnosed February 2017. It's not the same for everyone - some people don't recur for years and years, others much quicker. Are you worried you are having a recurrence?

It is actually my sister who is worrying so much about reoccurrence .. she said adeno takes longer to come back, but serous reoccurs fast.

I have 3b serous. Diagnosed sept. 2015. No recurrences although I do go in today to hear the results of a swollen node biopsy which may be OC or a thousand other things.🤔.

I also have stage 3C serous, diagnosed September 2015 and so far no recurrences.

Hi. I’m 3b and recurred after 9 months. The median time for advanced high grade serous is 18 months and most people who are going to recur do so by two years but 20% never do and some do after very long periods of time like ten years. It’s very idiosyncratic. Are you having symptoms? Xx

I was diagnosed with stage 2 high grade serous in 2017. Had surgery and chemo but recurrence in 2018, more chemo then hormone therapy. That didn’t work and am now stage 3 and undergoing chemo again. I think that there’s no definite prediction when recurrence occurs, unfortunately as cancer is unique to the individual. My oncologist did tell me after I had finished my first course of chemo that if it returned within 6 months there was nothing they could do, but 12 to 18 months it was manageable, I found that a bit blunt to be honest but I don’t give up hope and trust in the research going on which is fast moving. Xx

I was diAgnosed with HGS in May 2017 stage 3b PPC/ovarian cancer. Despite a number of ‘bumps’ along the way , my ca 125 remains at 10. I know I have been incredibly lucky like some of the other ladies who have commented. Let’s hope you are the same x x
