Hi all just wondering what was everyone's symptoms? Getting closer now to my date of my scan to see if there is anything wrong with my ovaries and I feel sick with worry now (only thing keeping me sane is that my CA125 was 17)but I know this isn't a reliable measure alone for diagnosis. I'm so TIRED... CONSTANT TIRED despite how much rest I get. It and the bloating are my main symptoms 😔

I had bloating, difficulty eating very much, loose stools, & some vaginal spotting. When I had my first recurrence, I had no symptoms at all, it was found on a check scan. Di

Hi, The fatigue is usually caused by the treatment and goes on for a long time after treatment, you really need to be kind to yourself and not push too much. Also lockdown hasn't helped as we can't get out and get our usual exercise so that's a constant battle, people I know who have nothing wrong are struggling with that. I have bloating all the time and have had it for years, long before I got diagnosed. Look on the plus CA125 is low and that's a good sign, hold onto that. I do understand your concern, we're all in the same boat but can use a bit of logic when it's someone else. Enjoy where you are at the moment which is a good place and try not to worry, easier said than done. Take care Sue xx

I never had any symptoms , either before diagnosis or for the two recurrences. Everyone is different and there are a number of things that can cause bloating and fatigue. Try (hard as it is) to focus on the positive that your CA125 is well within normal range. I hope your scan goes well. Big hug, Kathy xx

Hi

I just had twingy abdominal pains which came and went, so I was lucky enough to have a GP who said that she was sure there was nothing seriously wrong (blood test and scan being normal a few months before) but it had gone on long enough so sent me for a CT when it as diagnosed. I had no to other symptoms, but I everyone is different.

Good luck and hope all goes well with the scan. It's a scary time but try to stay positive.

I didn't have any symptoms other than the irritable bowel I'd had on and off for 20 years, though I was getting more lower back problems in the year before diagnosis, but having degenerative arthritis of the spine, neither I nor my GP thought anything of it. No bloating or swelling, other than temporarily if my stomach was irritable and not much fatigue either, no more than I would expect for my age. I just happened to find a swollen lymph node in my groin; my CA125 was raised but not terribly high at 91 - turned out I'd got Stage 4b OC.

Hopefully your problems are not due to OC... try not to worry. I know that's hard, but I told myself back then that worrying about it wouldn't change whatever the problem was, it would be whatever it was regardless of me worrying or not, though like most of us, I did have a right old panic up once I got the diagnosis till I got over the shock and agreed to treatment.

Good luck for the scan - let us know what the result is...

I had a variety of symptoms that I thought were unrelated: sciatic nerve pain on my left side; reflux; chest pressure; shortness of breath and palpitations. I also was getting bigger around the ribcage, but I thought I was just getting fat. I even went for a cardiology work-up two months before my diagnosis because of the palpitations. My tumors were found when I had a CT scan for a kidney stone. All the symptoms disappeared as soon as I had surgery. I never had any clue that I might have an ovarian problem.

I also was fatigued, but I put that down to not sleeping enough. I have four children and haven't really slept in years.

I'll be thinking of you and hoping for a good outcome. --Lani

My only symptom was urine frequency and urgency. Unfortunately, I put this down to age (along with the grey hair and wrinkles). I didn't have bloating.

It is very difficult waiting for a scan and then waiting for the results. I hope the outcome is good.
