Had chemo today. Carbo/doxile. 15mins into doxile starting. Started breaking into a sweat and throwing up. Lot of pain in stomach. Pushed emergency button. Chemo stopped. Flushed everything. Gave me 30mins then started it again at a slower pace. All went well until I got home after 7pm and hospital rang. I left without meds 😠😠😠 not a great day lol

Thanks marleyz. Least it's every 4 weeks, more time to recover

sorry you had that experience. What recurrence are you on? I am on third and had option for Carbo/taxol or Doxil/Gemma. Choose Carbo /taxol because recurrence with that was 9 months then 1 year. If this doesn’t do the trick then on to doxil combo, please let me know how you do after a few treatments. Stay positive and strong

I had carbo /taxol first time. Took a reaction to taxol, so carbo on its own , all good for nearly 3 years, then reccurance. So carbo /doxile, see how it goes

I hope you are feeling better now. Keep us informed on treatments. Just started Carbo/Taxol again. If doesn’t work then Doxil/gem.

I’m sorry you had a bad reaction. I am starting Doxil in about two hours😝. Had carbo twice before and am platinum resistant they think. Good luck!

TY for asking. Day 1 and 2 were fine. I started feeling queasy day 3 and worse on day 4. No appetite, threw up

Once. Stomach and whole digestive track swelled up

Like a balloon. Severely constipated. Joint pain everywhere. Nothing makes me go to the bathroom.

Sorry to rant but I know you will understand. That’s Doxil only and my first infusion.

How are your symptoms ? It’s the digestive issues and swelling that’s the worst. Hugs, Carol

Well 2nd chemo went better than first session ,put into room of my own, took 3 attempts to get cannula in,had sleeve warmer on my arm,but all good,it worked and chemo went ahead, slow at first then speeded up to normal rate, started at 2pm and out at 5.30pm ,side effects not bad,no hair loss ,skin dry but moisturizing plenty, goodluck to all having chemo
