Has anyone had success with Doxil ? Going to start next week and running out of options.

Hi

Had Doxil(caelyx) in 2015. Was every 4weeks. First week I felt tired and developed an itchy rash but the following 3 weeks gradually got back to normal. I have had other regimes since and I tend to get them a bit confused but don't remember it being too bad. My ca125 came back down to normal and stayed there for about 9 months.

I had it with carbo. Found it quite tolerable aside from the first week and low platelets. It shrank my tumor by 75%. I hope it works for you!!!

Hi. Me again. Doxil is Caelyx in the UK if you want to search this site. Where do you get treated in the US? I’m at Dana Farber. You’re not running out of options at this point but obviously they have to calm your liver down.

Thank you Delia for your response. I am in SE Michigan.

I have been on many chemo regimes this year. I am considered platinum resistant. Nothing has worked for me so am hoping Doxil will shrink my tumors. I have one growing fast and pushing out my abdomen. I am afraid it will find a way out.

CA125 is no longer a good market for me. I have MMMT, is that what you have?

Hi. No I have high grade serous. Dana Farber has trials for platinum resistant and refractory OC. I’m sure places closer to you do too. Have you checked the Mayo and Cleveland clinics and/or MD Anderson (though traveling to Houston now would not be good). They do telemedicine. ❤️

I have U if Michigan here and I am getting a second opinion. So far info not qualify for any clinical trials Bc if MMMT.
