Hi - I’ve had two Carbo/Caelyx - 28 day intervals. Mostly have noticed the fatigue for about first 8 days following. And constipation was an issue until I started Miralax - half dosage per night has really helped. I’m moisturizing hands and feet throughout the day. I have read many encouraging reviews from many that have done this combo. I hope we both do well on it too! Take care! Elayne

Thank you ElayneZ...I’m due to begin this treatment in the next few weeks (awaiting date). Have you been told/advised to shield for the duration of chemo?

Hi - I live in California and mostly due to Covid I’m not doing much other than to get groceries - go to the lab and then chemo. I will have 3rd infusion in two weeks. Fatigue is a side effect so I haven’t felt too much like running around anyways. Good thoughts to you as you start!! Lots of encouraging posts on Carbo/Doxil - aka Caelyx.

Yes. I had wobbly legs after my first infusion and shortness of breath on exertion. Occasional feelings of nausea but no vomitting Also very tired for about first two weeks which gradually wore off. Sorry, not sure what you mean by feeling "giggy". After second infusion side effects don't seem nearly so bad. Even the wobbly legs seem to have eased off. Still get the tiredness and the odd bout of nausea but as for the rest they occasionally occur if I overdo things. However I do try to get in some gentle exercise every day as the muscles will suffer if I am inactive for too long. As for the shortness of breath this is being investigated by my GP as these episodes really frightened me but they might not actually be anything to do with the caelyx. Still waiting for test and x-ray results. I hope the wobbly legs will wear off for you. I have never known it to last for the whole recovery period. Take care. Jackie x

Yes I had this 10 days ago. I felt very "spacey" and a bit unsteady on my feet. I feel ok now.
