Morning everyone, im a newbie to this diagnosis, so still feeling a bit numb, but 6 weeks since diagnosis, 3 drains from ascites, 2 chemos, feeling ok, get tired in the afternoons but staying away from Google, eating and drinking well and trying to get out for a walk and feel the fresh air on my face, I feel normal 😊, how are you all?

Hello and welcome

I am glad you are getting treatment, it’s all a bit of a whirlwind to begin with but hopefully you will start to see a pattern emerge before long.

Good that you are staying off google and taking care of yourself.

I found that there was so much information to process that I stuck to a ‘need to know’ basis, only taking in that which was about my immediate treatment or side effects.

Big predictions are useless because each treatment journey is unique and your response will be yours and different to anyone else, even if they are same stage or diagnosis.

Keep on putting one foot in front of the other and you will get there xx

Hi, it seems really strange saying welcome because I am sure you would rather not be joining us all on this site . Even though family & friends try their best to understand what we are going through they don't so it's nice to talk to other women who do. I see you are having chemo so just wondering is the plan to operate? You are right to get out walking when you are up to it because it's so good for your mind. I hope you get through the chemo with no complications. We had booked a holiday just before I was diagnosed & we didn't cancel it. I found that it helped me focus on getting through the chemo & it worked. I went on my holidays abroad ten days after my last chemo so maybe setting yourself a goal for after you finish chemo will help you push through the hard times. Wishing you all the best & take care of yourself X
