Acid reflux on avastin

Hello just wondering if anyone else suffers with really bad acid reflux?

Hi there. Have had in the region of 100 infusions of Avastin. Never had acid reflux.

The only side-effects that I'm aware of are sneezes & a runny nose, mostly in the morning & when I eat and steadily rising blood pressure. But we all react differently to these drugs.

I’m not on Avastin but the trial drug I’m on appears to cause reflex. Only thing I’m allowed to take is Gaviscon but it seems to help.

Hi Carolesuz, I am having my 20th Avastin on Wednesday & only recently I found I sometimes suffer from a bit of indigestion . I start worrying as it is one of the symptoms of OC but a recent CT scan was clear so it put my mind at ease. It might be no harm to just mention it to a nurse when you are in for your next infusion & they might recommend you take something to ease the acid reflux. Hope you get it sorted soon X

Thank you for your reply. I’m taking meds for acid reflux but I’ve still got it. I’m having an ultrasound next week as I think the ascites is back. I hope you are keeping well.

I do. It's mild, but I take anti acids a lot more than I ever did in the past. Taking Avastin (by IV) and Olaparib (pills) now as maintenance treatment.
